Dazzlecats Maine Coons & British Shorthairs

About Dazzlecats Maine Coons & British Shorthairs

We are Sarah and Norman Davison from Leeds, West Yorkshire.

We are hobby breeders of pedigree Maine Coons and British Shorthair cats and kittens. We have now acquired our new breeding prefix which is Dazzlecats. This will be used for our Maine Coon and British Shorthair kittens. Our cats are very much loved members of the family first and foremost and their health and wellbeing is paramount to us. We make sure they all spend time in the house being part of a family environment as well as having time in the cattery enjoying the fresh air and company of the rest of our feline family. All our kittens are brought up within the family home and very well socialized when they leave.

We have a very naughty Blue Silver Tortie Tabby And White Maine Coon girl as part of our feline family. She is called Linnel Mybaby but we know her as Ruby (Boobie she gets from us). Ruby was our very first Maine Coon girl to come and live with us and she is my shadow. She clings to me like a little child if someone tries to take hold of her which can be quite amusing for people to see. Its just because she loves her Mummy so much!!
There is never a dull moment with Ruby around as she is a real monkey but very loving with it. She is a very vocal girl and especially chatters and chirps away if she sees birds or a dog as I have now found out.
Ruby has been out on the show circuit although she is not a very big fan of travelling and seemed to get quite stressed by the whole ordeal. We will try her again as she is gorgeous and we think she will continue to do very well.
A very big thankyou goes to Linda Dutton at Linnel for entrusting us with our very naughty but loveable girl. Ruby is now neutered but will stay here with us and live out her retirement as a very much pampered pet.

Another member of our Maine Coon family is our homebred baby Dazzlecats A Whole New World otherwise known as Georgia. Georgia is a brown tabby and white Maine Coon and is another daughter of Ruby and TJ.
Georgia is a gorgeous girl. Very loving and such a big softie. Georgia went out on the show bench the other month to the North West Cat Club Show where she did very well indeed. She managed to scoop 1st Place in her Open Class, two Second Places in Side Classes and a 3rd Place. Well done Georgia we are so proud of you.

The next member of our coonie family is Linnel Sunset Boulevarde otherwise known as Savannah or Vannah as she gets from our 2 1/2 year old son who is one of her best friends. Savannah is a tortie tabby and white Maine Coon and has come to us from Linda Dutton at Linnel Cats.
Savannah is the daughter of Raine who is Ruby's litter sister so it is rather special she is here with us. Savannah is also one of Linda's last kittens to be bred so we thank her very much for entrusting us with yet another fabulous girl.

Another member of our coonie family is Celticoon Against All Odds known better to us as Wish. Wish is a silver tortie tabby maine coon and has come to us from Sara Assinder at Celticoon.
Wish is the most gorgeous girl. She is also the most long awaited girl. She has settled in here brilliantly and adapted to life with a very noisy toddler amazingly. Wish will be out on the show bench at some point and we will update her show page as and when we have something to report.

The newest member of our coonie family is Snoozicoonz Attagirl Rosie better known to us as Macey. Macey is a red classic tabby and high white maine coon and has come to us from Myke and Julie McKay at Snoozicoonz.
Macey was named by our little boy Alfie and he and she have become very firm friends.
Macey is a very friendly, purry and outgoing kitten and we are excited to watch her grow.
We may decide to show Macey once she fills out and will update her progress on her show report page.

Thanks go to our good friend Anne Waite at Olirose for allowing us the opportunity to use her gorgeous stud boy Ch Julescoon Toby Jug or TJ for short as without her and of course him our gorgeous maine coon family wouldnt have expanded. Anne has also guided us a lot on our Maine Coon journey which has only just begun so thankyou Anne your advice and help is greatly appreciated.
We would also like to thank Julie Chadwick at Lionmaine, Linda Dutton at Linnel and Jayne Passey at Snoocoons for being good friends and for all their help and advice along the way too.
Special thanks also go to Linda and Sara for entrusting us with our gorgeous girls Savannah and Wish. Myke and Julie for allowing Macey to come and live with us and for giving a loving home to Freya. Also to my very good friend and sounding board Jenny at Ultramaine for keeping me sane throughout my whole breeding journey.

We are also the proud owners of a show neuter male Maine Coon. Windbag Mister Sandman also know as Samson who is a Red Classic Tabby
A very big thankyou goes to Gillian and Clare at Windbags for entrusting us with Samson we are forever grateful.

You can get a brief glimpse of our wonderful previous British Shorthair family on our banner at the top of this page.

Our aim is to breed healthy and happy kittens that are well socialised and used to every day life. All our kittens will be born indoors and brought up underfoot within the family home. We aim to concentrate on the Blue Selfs, Blue Creams, lilacs and Creams in the British Shorthairs.

We are at present having a break from breeding the British Shorthairs until we find some new little girls to come and join our family here at Dazzlecats. We aim to have our breeding programme back up and running by the end of 2011 as it is not something we will be rushing into this time and we want to get the right cats with good lines and type to move forward with. We also aim to be back out on the show bench at some stage with our British so watch this space.

Our thanks go to Sue Bennet at Abbey Kennels for entrusting us with Izzy who has now been spayed and living out her retirement with her son Thomas with Isabelle and her family. We also thank the other breeders who have entrusted us with cats that have been part of our breeding programme in the past but have gone on to new homes to live out their retirement. One such cat is Mia our foundation blue girl who will always be missed here but is living her new life as a very spoilt little pussy cat and to her new owners Linda and Richard we are eternally grateful.

We would like to say a big thankyou to Matthew Gill who has done our wonderful banners shown on our website pages. These are wonderful and really make the cats look fantastic. So thankyou Matt for all your time and hard work we love them.

Finally we would like to say an even bigger thankyou to all the people over the past four years that have given loving homes to our babies that we have bred. Most of which keep in touch and let us know how they are getting on. Photo's can be seen on our Kittens In Their New Homes Page. We love to have updates on our babies once they leave us for their new homes and proudly show these on our website. Messages are also copied there and can also be found on our guestbook page too.
